Where to get Saltarelle/Castagnari melodeons in Canada?

We have some evidence, however, that you may have to pay for the reeds.

Where to get Saltarelle/Castagnari melodeons in Canada?

Post by Parkwood »

Hi all,

I'm now living in good ol' Alberta and want to buy a nice melodeon. Any ideas on retailers in Canada/USA who regularly stock these? Specifically, I'll be wanting a 2 1/2 row DG box

Cheers

Look's really good, thanks.

I've emailed to enquire whether they keep any in stock...

I think that page shows what they actually have in inventory right now. No 2.5 rows, but they can order anything from those makers.

Here's a place in Toronto:

They may be able to special order something.

Tell us something.: Old hand, active in the early 2000s. Less active in recent years but still lurking from time to time.

As far as I know these guys are the exclusive Saltarelle dealers in Canada.

http://musiquegagne.com/produits/accordeons.php.

You might get a better price on Saltarelles from the Button Box (although you'll have to add the cost of getting anything you buy from them over the border). It might be easier making yourself understood there too :-)

There is another store in Ste-Hyacinthe near Montreal called <a href="http://accordeonsrl.zip411.net/fr/info. ... Accordéons Rosaire Larocque</a> who deal with Castagnari and usually have a few in stock. More likely to be A/D though so you'd have to order. Nice people there.
