Hi Peter! There was three italians at the cd launch! I, my wife and a friend of mine that live in Ennis (accordion player).
Great event! The opening with Ringo, Conor Keane and (... ooppss... I don't remember other names...) was very impressive.
Edel and Ronan was very good player, and the atmosphere in the pub was, mor or less, a big family!
I saw Kitty Hayes these night... wow... iron lady!

Yes all the locals were out for it. All the seats made it a bit awkward to move around in the pub. and Jackie Daly in the kitchen, asleep.
I talked to Kitty and a few others for a bit and left. Kitty and myself were playing in Glor in Ennis the night before.
Last night Tony Linnane and Noel Hill, I enjoyed that thoroughly.

I got a copy from Kitty Hayes today, only listened to part of it so far.avanutria wrote:I just got a package of three new concertina CDs for my birthday and one of them is Martin O'Brien's new one. Great stuff! I listened to half of it on the way in to work today and have already identified several that I want to learn - I think the first might be The Swan Among The Rushes.
This should get you started, it's one of Ed Reavey's:
T: The Swans among the Rushes
M: 6/8
L: 1/8
R: double jig
K: G
