You were at Edel's? We didn't stay very long, saw a bit of Conor and 'Ringo' McDonagh when we came in but found it too crowded to be comfortable so went home again.

Hi Peter! There was three italians at the cd launch! I, my wife and a friend of mine that live in Ennis (accordion player).
Great event! The opening with Ringo, Conor Keane and (... ooppss... I don't remember other names...) was very impressive.
Edel and Ronan was very good player, and the atmosphere in the pub was, mor or less, a big family!
I saw Kitty Hayes these night... wow... iron lady!

Yes all the locals were out for it. All the seats made it a bit awkward to move around in the pub. and Jackie Daly in the kitchen, asleep. :P
I talked to Kitty and a few others for a bit and left. Kitty and myself were playing in Glor in Ennis the night before.

Last night Tony Linnane and Noel Hill, I enjoyed that thoroughly.

I just got a package of three new concertina CDs for my birthday and one of them is Martin O'Brien's new one. Great stuff! I listened to half of it on the way in to work today and have already identified several that I want to learn - I think the first might be The Swan Among The Rushes.

I got a copy from Kitty Hayes today, only listened to part of it so far.

This should get you started, it's one of Ed Reavey's:

T: The Swans among the Rushes
M: 6/8
L: 1/8
R: double jig
K: G
