I take strong exception to this, as i play the button box at a level of proficiency -- an extremely low one, in fact

The reason I thought of restricting it to accordions, apart from the fact that there isn't an Irish-trad-specific button-box forum anywhere else, is that if a forum is too diffuse, truly knowledgeable people might not see the interest in hanging out there.

Seriously, not a lot of box players hang out here -- maybe post an announcement on the two Yahoo Irish box lists and see what happens... though one of the lists started because people got tired of the slagging on the other one, so be careful what you wish for.

So, who wants to kick things off with the obligatory "B/C players suck" thread?

Who's going to lead us off?
Steve

OY!

I play at level 1 of proficiency, if there are ten levels, 1 being " so where does the rosin go?" :D

Yeah, yeah, very good, but are you calling harmonicas "boxes?" :D

He's probably just referring to free-reed musical instruments. :P

I can't help feeling that you mean "m'affaire clandestin avec la melodica..." :D
