Hi All,
I've a very nice little Hohner B/C Double Ray box that I picked up on here some time ago on here. It was made in Switzerland and upgraded:
The lad I got it from bought it in a auction house in Ireland and had it upgraded by John Brosnan from Co Cork.
Brosnan put new original hohner reeds, tuned it, and upgraded the keyboard so that the buttons stay at a good depth when pressed. The accordion has been made in Switzerland probably around '70. It's in immaculate conditions, no scratches, the original engravings are still there, and the original bellow has no signs of wear and is complitely airtight. It's tuned a bit on the wet side, like the traditional hohner sound you would expect. Everything is in perfect working order and tuning is spot on. It's unusual to see a vintage hohner in such good shape.
Both Billy and Sean McComiskey played it and were well pleased with it. I've a picture of Billy playing it, and a video:

Looking for an equivalent or better quality (toward it) box in C#/D, or (toward it) an Olwell Bb flute. Oh, as always, interested in anything uilleann pipe related from the Koehler Quinn stable, or regulators for a concert or C set.
Give me a shout if you've got anything and are interested.
Cheers,
Ben
