I am not from Portland, I'm east coaster, but, I came across this site while surfing. You might inquire there in with members who can recommend someone. Check their calendar as it has various events listed. Good luck. :)

Have you tried getting in touch with Hanz Araki? I'm curious if he occasionally teaches or if he's just too busy performing all the time.

Brenda Scearcy--brendascearcy@hevanet.com is an excellent penny whistle teacher in Portland!

+1 for Brenda Scearcy. She has flexible lesson times and has current openings. Highly recommended by others in the area.
