I am living near Moenchengladbach and am looking for an uilleann pipes teacher for a few lessons. Made some progress at first, but now I still have some problems with the basics which I can't seem to solve.

Have you tried contacting Colin and Brigitte Goldie? They lived in Moenchengladbach, and are probably familiar with Irish musicians in the area, including pipers. You can PM Brigitte here; she checks the board regularly:

Don't know any pipers in Mönchengladbach but there is piper Tom Kannmacher near Bonn who teaches and you have pipers like Johannes Schiefner in Krefeld. Don't know if he give lessons but it would be worth to ask. Both are excellent pipers! Send me a PM if you're interested.
