I'm based in southeastern Connecticut and/or Rhode Island (Newport/Westerly) and am looking for possible teachers for both whistle and flute.

I know of teachers in Providence ( think), Boston and Canton MA and probably closer to you. It depends how much driving you'll do.

A few places to google and call for suggestions.

Skip Healy in Providence. He's a flute maker and may know someone in the area teaching whistle.

The Blackstone River Theatre in Cumberland. They produce lots of Irish music programs with both local on Irish performers. They may be able to point you to a local teacher.

I think there's also a RI Celtic or Irish Music club, group, society ? with a web presence. They list local ITM performances. That might also be a source of suggestions.

Good Luck
