Anyone willing?

Hi folks. Just wondering if anyone might be willing to record this tune I wrote. I didn't have the chops at the time to really make a recording of it, and I would be very interested to see if my notation is at all what I intended. I wrote it on the banjo, for the banjo, but other instruments would be appreciated as well. Might work on fiddle or box? Thanks in advance.

Should be up on FB soon Arbo. Now, wasn't there a tune of mine that you were going to try? :poke:

Well, the one I think you said you were going to try was this one:

Then there's this one to go after it:

(assuming I've got the links right)

Ben, your three FB links tell me "This content is currently unavailable." Does one need to log in? Or can you make them public? Ideally, our dear readers shouldn't need a FB account to access discussion links here. Ideally ...

Even logged in to FB, I get the unavailable message for all three links.

Ah, sorry folks. Didn't mean to make it unavailable. It's my inattention to FB technical detail I think. The following should work, if I've read the rules correctly:

Ah, that is indeed better. Quite a bit of fun. Nice job all around, Ben and Arbo. Hm, now I want to get out the banjo.

Ah, perfect. Thanks.

Now about that haircut. If your goal is to look like your avatar, you've succeeded.

In fairness to Arbo's tune, I should probably point out that, whilst my version sticks pretty closely to the dots provided by Arbo (with just the occasional ornament thrown in here and there) it's not quite what he had in mind, apparently. The rhythm Arbo intended wasn't really like a reel, but more like a medium-paced to slowish Barndance, and the notes he intended are not entirely the ones he transcribed.

I haven't had time to amend Arbo's transcription, and won't have any time now for a week or so, and this is the very first playthrough, sight-reading, so my playing of it is from the original dots, not from any amended version.
