Tendonitis! Need to find homes for several nice instruments

Post by eskin »

Tendonitis issues pretty much limits my ability to play stringed instruments much anymore, so I'm selling several nice instruments that deserve to be played rather than languishing in my closet. Photos available for all on request.

The first is an as-new condition custom Sully "Session King Deluxe" blonde maple short scale tenor banjo (GDAE tuning) with resonator essentially identical to #359 on this page: http://halshawmusic.co.uk/bstk.html. Includes hard case. $1600 plus insured shipping. Would also consider trade for a Castagnari Lilly B/C box in similar condition.

Open back 1927 Bacon and Day Bluebell tenor banjo, setup nicely. Includes Deering soft gig bag. $600 plus insured shipping.
Here's some photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/eskin/sets ... 7250/show/

1915 or so vintage Gibson H1 Mandola, tuned CGDA, the nicest one I've ever seen or played. Includes original case. $3000 plus insured shipping.

Nicely restored Kay archtop jumbo tenor guitar, tuned GDAE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNsY-H04GHw Includes hard case. Upgraded tuners. $600 plus insured shipping. This is not your father's flattop wimpy tenor guitar, between the jumbo size body and the archtop, it's a loud monster of a tenor, absolutely loud enough for sessions.

If these don't sell soon, I'll probably put them up on consignment at Buffalo Brothers Guitars in Encinitas, CA.
