Folkfriends Bouzouki

Post by MikyMate »

Hello!
Watching for a new bouzouki, I’ve found these german vendors, “folkfriends”.
Their bouzoukis costs about 500€, I’m thinking if they’re worth the money.
That’s the model I’m looking for:
http://folkfriends.com/shop/showproddtl ... 72&grp=467

It seem like the Trinity college/Johnson/Ashbury models; I don’t know if it reachs the same quality, but it have a good pickup and an adjustable bridge.
Does anyone know these bouzoukis?
It’s difficult to find something on the web, there’s only the promotion videos.
However, I’ve contacted the vendor asking for measures and other informations, and it’s his answer:

“the measures of the bouzouki are:
scale: 66,5 cm
length of the neck from saddle to body: 40 cm
saddle width: 3,6 cm
body width: 34,3 cm
body depth: 8,3 cm
The coloured ones are similar to the natural one. At the moment we do not have the natural ones in stock, they will be available again in a couple of month. The new generation of natural bouzoukis will have a deeper body (9,2 cm).
Our instruments have the same shape as the Trinity College bouzoukis, but we have increased the quality of single parts. This generation also has Fishman pick-ups, which is excellent quality.”

I’d like every comment! ;)
