Have a look at the peghead overlay, tuner buttons, soundhole rosette, and binding, I suspect those would account for much of the addtional cost. I wonder if premium back or top woods were also spec'd?

Yeah, the seller ought to have at least listed the added options, for exactly the reason you mention.

Superficially—hard to tell without taking a closer look—that looks a lot like my Fylde. Luthiers have drooled over it.
