I have a nice fiddle for sale. I am new to this forum. I live in the US. Are there other posters from the US here frequently? I am wondering if it is practical for me to post my fiddle on this site. Thanks.

I can't see how to post it here, or on the Used Instrument Board.

But you're doing it right now. All we need is more info. :)

You'll be empowered to access the UIE for use later on. :)

I am selling a German 4/4 fiddle (backlength of 35.5cm) made in Saxony, circa 1950"s. It has a slightly narrower neck and shorter stop, so it is a comfortable fit for small handed players. It has a sweet and mellow tone. It is in very good condition; the only defects are a "ding" in the varnish above the bridge, and a scratch or two on the back. I purchased it from a reputable European dealer and have the paperwork. I have fitted it with a new chinrest, tailpiece with fine tuners, and new strings. Included is a used Kun shoulder rest, a used pernambuco bow, and an oblong case in good condition (latch does not catch, but zippers and velcro are perfect). I am asking $2,000, plus shipping.

... and if you want to post images, try this thread.

But it's a longish thread, so here's the gist: find an image hosting site lie, say, Photobucket (there are plenty of image hosting sites), upload the images there and then 'share' the images. Usually, there's an option for "forums" or something like that. It will give you an URL which you post here using the button above labelled "Img".

Try it. It's fun. :)
