Looks neat; would love to see it come out for Android.

Here's a video of the latest version, playing "Come Before Winter" by Jim Taylor:

Taking things to the next level, here's what's next:

Demonstration of Trapezoid MIDI:

I'm pretty sure I'm the first in history to do this on a broadly available and extremely inexpensive way...

The MIDI app has all the features of the acoustic version, including Standard and Michigan tuning, adaptive bounce rolls, plus the ability to transpose, put the treble and bass bridges on different MIDI channels, etc.

It can be yours to play with in about a week for about the price of a cup of fancy coffee...

Pretty cool, although I'd like to see the following enhancements:

1. A damper pedal

2. A 45-minute tuning sequence to mimic the behavior of a real hammered dulcimer after you haven't played it for a while or if you bring it into a warm pub on a cold day.

:D

First, let me finish putting on my flame-retardant body suit.

OK, now that I’m safe, presenting "Planxty Earworm" by Blue Man O’Carolan:

Here's my obligatory rendition of "Ashokan Farewell" by Jay Ungar on the acoustic version of "Trapezoid":

Sounds great. Be interesting to hear what a good gypsy-style cimbalom player could make make of this.
