I have two favorite Christmas tales. When I lived in Worcester, MA some while ago there was an out cry against the Curse of Christmas, Salvation Army bell ringers. The city banned the bell ringing and the former bell ringers responded by holding up cardboard cutout bells with "ding" and "dong" on them.
And a few years ago where I now live a thief grabbed a Salvation Army collection kettle and ran off with it. Darting into the street he was hit by a car. Later I heard he was arrested ad he lay in his hospital bed. A Christmas lesson.

- Tell us something.: I have played bagpipes for several years. Open heart surgery in 2014 took me out for several months and I have not yet returned. I have begun to pursue the penny whistle instead. I'm looking for advice and friends in this new instrument.
