Doing your own viewing - Spot the Station

The NASA website,
Spot the Station, allows you to input your location, by city, and get a list of times the International Space Station will be visible (weather permitting). It even tells you where to look. Here's an example from where I am:
----Date---------------Duration---Max Elevation-----Appears-----------Disappears
Mon Apr 9, 8:28 PM----3 min-----------29°------10° above NNW-----28° above NE
The "-" don't appear in the display, but the forum editor kept suppressing the spaces I added to make it more legible.
For a rough guide, yer fist held at arm's length with yer palm perpendicular to the ground is about 15°, so the max elevation listed above would be about two fists above the horizon.
This site has been up for quite a while, but I don't recall ever mentioning it. So, get off yer duffs (unless you're in the middle of a session), go outside, and see the brightest object (save the sun, moon, and odd supernova) in the night sky. With a reasonable telescope, or even a healthy set of binoculars, you can make out a bit of the shape of it.
Slan,
