Apart from telling me that this photo is roughly in Östersund, there is no info about what this little settlement is. (Östersund being an urban area, which this clearly is not.) This is the sort of pic that makes me want to be there.

The photo was taken at Jamtli in Östersund.
"Jamtli is the name of the regional museum of Jämtland and Härjedalen in Östersund, Sweden. It consists of an open air museum with historical buildings, and an indoor museum with both permanent and temporary exhibitions."

No, not really. There's just a sort of camp-like camaraderie feel to the image, but that it's an historic reconstruction makes sense.

Way up north, sometimes little villages never appear on any map.

Consider the village of Rovala, having 7 houses (N67.6° E28.6°).

O'Muirgheasain.
Geez, until you gave the coordinates, I thought you were talking about Warrenville.

Cheers,

It is well worthwhile to check out the photographer's site:

Some great photos in his gallery!

On his Facebook page he wrote that he took the photo at Jamtli, which is a museum village in Östersund, Sweden. I did not make that up!
