Sherlock Holmes (the movie)

Post by In The Woods »

Went to see it last Saturday with my wife and our niece (she's in her 40's). My wife and I enjoyed the movie. I've read almost all of Conan Doyle's stories, and of course the movie is based VERY loosely on the books. Nevertheless, I think it's an interesting take on the characters and how they work together to make for an interesting, if noisy story. I suspect that true Sherlock fans will be appalled at the liberties taken, but the movie took me back to my youth, when you went to see an action/adventure flick on Saturday afternoon, for .25! (I just dated myself!) :tomato:

With best regards.

Stephen
