Went to see it last Saturday with my wife and our niece (she's in her 40's). My wife and I enjoyed the movie. I've read almost all of Conan Doyle's stories, and of course the movie is based VERY loosely on the books. Nevertheless, I think it's an interesting take on the characters and how they work together to make for an interesting, if noisy story. I suspect that true Sherlock fans will be appalled at the liberties taken, but the movie took me back to my youth, when you went to see an action/adventure flick on Saturday afternoon, for .25! (I just dated myself!)
With best regards.

Sherlock Holmes (the movie)
Ring the bells that still can ring.
Forget your perfect offering.
There is a crack in everything.
That's how the light get's in.

Picture a bright blue ball just spinning, spinning free
It's dizzying, the possibilities. Ashes, Ashes all fall down.
