You have a brilliant mind sir! Well done! I will have to reconsider my vote entirely now, of course.

Catwoman is indeed a villainess in the Batman saga, albeit one he has always shown a bit of a romantic weakness for, ever since her first appearance in 1940. However, there is a new film out called Catwoman, that apparently has a Catwoman character in the lead, but with a different identity from the Catwoman of the Batman comics.susnfx wrote:I'm not familiar with the latest incarnations of Catwoman, but in the olden days (the 1960s) she was a villain, not a superhero, so I'm not certain she should be on the list. Also not familiar with the Tick.
And may I point out that Superheros are GOOD GUYS and therefore wouldn't be caught dead taking part in a brawl such as this.

What? I can't believe Underdog wasn't mentioned. In that case, I vote for SuperDale!

Uh, Mark? Didn't anyone tell you?MarkB wrote:I just glad that Dale hasn't the power to see through walls though!
But seriously - "to see walls through"... I take it you're referring to a superior mental power to exhibit patience while waiting on one's contractor?

Well, Underdog was fun, but his devotion to "sweet Polly Purebred" smacked of breedism and classism. Shoeshine boy obviously came from the other side of the tracks, and Polly was his uptown girl. There's no telling a dog who to love, however. My favorite Boston terrier fell hard for a dalmatian, but it was an impossible relationship. Size matters.

Um, as a (very) part time fan boy, I would like to ask when exactly Batman and Superman matched up, with superman winning? I know in Dark Knight Returns, they duke it out but I wouldnt say it was a stunning victory for batman (plus, at that point, superman wanted him alive, something that wouldnt be happening if it was a no holds barred contest)

We all know that Peter Parker became Spiderman when he was bit by a radioactive spider, right?
But what happened to the guy who became Captain America? Did he get bit by a rabid Republican?

Yes, big problem for Superman writers, Krypton boy is nigh-invincible, too powerful. It would be like watching those first Mike Tyson fights:Switchfoot wrote:Um, as a (very) part time fan boy, I would like to ask when exactly Batman and Superman matched up, with superman winning? My first choice would be "Baby Bowler" from "Mystery Men", with Dale Wisely a close second... of course, I find my own martial talent closely resembles that of "The Spleen" from the same aforementioned movie...

Nope, you sly one... I meant "martial"... as in MerriamWebster'sdubhlinn wrote:
Annie,
Was that " marital" that you meant there?

my marital talents, on the other hand, are in their successful 22nd year, and not for open discussion on this forum
