Sorry about the poor quality of the picture -- best I can do! :)

Note from moderator: I edited this original post to show the pic. For awhile, it was not visible, thus the posts below that deal with the previous invisibility of said picture.

LOL! That's a good one!

Y'all, if you can't see it, right click on the red X (or whatever broken image sign you get). Choose "copy image location." Paste that into your locater bar and hit "enter." This is evidently hosted at one of those sites that doesn't accept remote linking.

Sorry, Redwolf; thanks for the tip, but I sorta like the red "X". Very dada.

Hmm, for some reason these instructions don't work for me either. I don't get the option to "copy image location." Darn.

All the Best, Tom

The X is nice. However, I think it's the drop shadow that really gives it character.

Neither do I. I will say though that Dale appears to be very tall in the photo.

It's a take off on the old BBC sci-fi series Dr. Who. It was one of the longest running sci-fi series, maybe about 25 years. The doctor would travel in a time machine called a TARDIS (time and relative dimensions in space) disguised as a British police box, accompanied by one or several companions. The doctor would "regenerate" from time to time, giving a story line for when an actor would leave the series. Seven actors played the doctor before the series ended.

Here's a picture of the Doctor and his companion. (no red X's this time :) )

Thanks for the clarification. I'm definitely old enough to recall the show, but I don't think I ever watched it- even though I spent 3 years in London in the early 80's.

Dr. Who started in nov. 1963-I can remember being an avid viewer as a five year old,and I sometimes watch the re-runs on U.K.Gold as a 45 year old!
As the series progressed, the writers became very aware of it's 'cult' status,so it often featured 'in-jokes' for the cognescenti (no,They AREN'T a menace from Space like the Daleks or the Cybermen! )
The BBC have a vast website on the series.

My hubby and I were really poor when we were dating, so an "evening" for us consisted of buying some cheap snacks and sitting around his apartment all evening watching "Dr. Who" and "The Prisoner."

Interestingly enough, "Dr. Who" is now big among my daughter's peer group (4th, 5th and 6th graders)...so now I'm really hip! :D
