I think that between the two of us, we could figure it out. We appear closer to agreement than disagreement. My term "open border" I think is a little too broad as I'm not proposing that we just kick open the door. But, like Wombat said (and you also mentioned other effective programs that have been cut), we need to figure out how to pave the way for them to be here legally AND easily... giving them the chance to contribute and the dignity deserved.
As I mentioned, I really don't have the knowledge or degrees to set up a feasible way to do it. I am in total agreement that we can't let the status quo continue, however, and that it needs to begin quickly (this does not mean that I think that it will end quickly). All I really know is that no wall in history has ever benefited mankind.
