They actually did but I suppose they rejected it for the lps at the time. The track was released, around 1980, on a compilation lp 'The High Kings of Tara' (Tara was their record label at the time) along with two other tracks that weren't in their 'offical' catalogue: The bonny light horseman and a set of reels that included the Chattering magpie (and Lord McDonald), . They added these as bonus tracks on CD releases later, I believe, and the instrumental tracks came up in their nineties reunion tour an I assume the DVD that came out of that. The original recordings were by the 'After the Break' line up of 1979, with Molloy playing the flute.
