I assume this album is by Matthew Welsh (dunno who he is) rather than Anthony Braxton? It's been a long time since I listened to Anthony Braxton. I remember him playing a wide range of reeds, from sopranino to bass, maybe even contrabass sax, but pipes just doesn't sound right to me.

But I've never heard of somebody else doing Braxton's compositions.

I did listen to some of this, and it's interesting, thanks for posting it.
