A note of ultimate happiness

Post by Mitch »

Darwin was a grumpy old man.
He wrote the origin of the species while seasick and feeling sorry for himself and wishing he was "fit".
which he was not.

So he said: "the survival of the fittest".
Being fit enough is enough - so he was saying things with great forbearance and great compassion given his personal pain.

He was saying "the last in line dies - all else are fit".

This has been morphed and conflated to: "the survival of the winner".

This is a totally wrong interpretation that seems to be the false-god of humans in this age.

Let me update it to the truth:

It is- "survival of the happiest".
I see it all around me. It works fine.

I think it's about time we all got on with that.
All the best!

Tell us something.: Long ago, I was told that I faked iTrad whistle work very well. I took that comment to heart. 20 years of private lessons - and many, many hours of rehearsal later - I certainly hope I have improved...
