Munich .. the Film

Post by weedie »

G'day friends,
We watched the film Munich last night. This is the sad story of the Israeli athletes' massacre at the 1972 Olympics... and the subsequent tracking down of the perpetrators by the Israeli secret service,Mossad ? ..
I thought a book on this subject would make for interesting reading.
Has anyone read anything on this that they could recommend ? One book that I googled and sounded OK was Vengeance ...another was Striking back..
Thanks all ...

Cheers MT,
Like my recent post on cleaning files,I reckon that this is something that could crop up in a discussion between mates ... in a Pub.
Not at all meant to cause controversy ... just wondering about a book ..

Yep. :-)

FWIW ... I took the mini-tram tour of the impressive Olympic Village in 1973, one year on. And as I recall, there were only passing mentions of the massacre, with the focus on the games and the architecture (and the beer garden). A normal tour, but with a slight air of irreality.
