"Woman facing death in US"

No, not expecting her end in the States. She was facing death in Sudan for sectarian reasons, and is now in the US.

Who knew adhering to an all-insect diet was a capitol crime in Sudan?

This is quite interesting!

What comes to mind are 2 associative nodes:
1. modality
2. diagesis

Modality is the amount of information contained in a communication. The word gets used to describe images and animations (also movies).

This comes from the mass extinction of the photo-realistic "artist".
At one time, in recent history, to get an image recorded of something .. say a portrait, one would have to engage a human-printer to render the scene in paint. The camera ended all of that, and thus was born a new religion of "post-modernity" that sought to justify the obsolete human through "abstraction" - and thus were borne the impressionist and cubist movements - straw-clutching in the human-printer continuum!

Thus "Art" became more of a political event than a scientific one .. sad.

However, a few good concepts were exhumed from the carnage - modality and diagesis.

Modality represents the "noise" component of a communication. For instance, a photograph has a very high "modality" - there is less noise in it compared to a painting by Monet. But a Manga cartoon is very low-modal - the abstraction introduces a noise in interpretation that is in-filled by the observer's "world-view". This requires a commonality in the medium - an assumption-set that is clearly false in real-world application.

Diagesis represents the interplay of the fictitious "invisible 4'th wall" - the audience is granted a view through an invisible wall to see the event happening inside - thus the audience has more information than the "players".
DIagesis represents the 2n'd iteration of perception. I call that "secondary perception" (Thesis available on request).
It's something that primates can do better than slime-moulds - a thing that only occurs in social organisms - and measured by degree of iteration (an inverse-square logarithmic scale - each iteration being a multiple of the one before). Each iteration requires a logarithmic expansion of synaptic associations - this has been shown with the brain-size/communality of species - but not only that .. it also requires additional orders of organic specialisation (brain functional-nodes).

I am reminded also of the fallacy of the "multiple choice" .. in some countries this is mistaken for "freedom" .. but I have observed that all choices presented are done so to exclude the optimal choice for the victim.

So .. these headlines you observe are violations of your existence. It is done intentionally to syphon the net advantage from you to the author.

Read-on victim ;)

(edit: you can detect this stuff if you want an authentic life (most are happy without that): all such violations are done through a "proscenium'. The Proscenium has been trained into you to trigger "suspension of disbelief" .. stupefyingly simple realy - so easy to do this to people! .. And you can identify the method by means of the message: if it is delivered via a rectangula4r frame - it is a proscenium, and you are being violated. After that .. well. I suppose we should develop some means of destroying, or negating, the "proscenium". That is probably not so hard, but will be met by violent resistance from those who's comfort depends in delusion .. i.e almost everyone)

You're also being manipulated when you don't see a proscenium.

"Man proves he's not dead in Michigan, gets to vote"

So that leaves 49 other states to convince, if it matters.

In the others, I don't think being dead stops anyone.

So, that leaves the possibility he could be dead, just not in Michigan. So Michigan allows a corpse currently residing in, say Texas, to vote? There's a good reason he would be dead in Texas.
