Not to worry folks. In the very near future, I don't doubt that we'll have virtual 3-D globes that float in front of us, like in the Sci-Fi movies.

They totally make those already. They're not even virtual.

Globes often find their way into our home. And then we pass them along to some unsuspecting person. That's why virtual globes would rule. Plus they'd be up to date or historical as the need arises. There was the one map on YouTube of the fluid boundaries of the Mediterranean are over the centuries. That would be cool to see on a virtual globe.

Isn't the grammar a bit tortured there? If each state label answers the posed question "What is your state the worst at?", then, for example, Arkansas is worst at worst credit score. Does that mean best credit score? Washington is worst at bestiality. Does that mean that other states do bestiality better?

Also, especially considering the context of the other states, surely "nerdiest state" isn't a bad thing?

The "American" category on the US Census always cracks me up.

If your ancestors came more than 200 years ago, from 12 different countries, how would you describe it? In reality, many people really don't know. You can tell something by the name, but that might just be a small minority (maybe GGGGF was whatever, but the only one ever.)

Only 30 people. Still, it's a little disappointing that no-one amongst them actually believes that Britain exists. All of them, he thinks, were American except maybe one Italian.

I'm right smack in the middle of this West Virginia chemical spill thing. We're dealing with it ok. We have friends within 4 miles who are on a safe water system. We took showers and loaded up on water. I live just outside of the small town of St. Albans (where the water is safe) and people are coming from all over the area to eat at our restaurants and shop and who knows what else. We don't have hotels or they would be full too.
