Dear Friends,

Pardon my brief interruption. As many of you may know, a few years ago I ws forced to put a hold on instrument production due to injuries. When I returned to the shop, I began a no-commitment/no-deposit "interest list". I have been slowly working through that list. I recently discovered that sometime in 2010 (YIKES!) my email provider malfunctioned and 2 years of Interest List messages were lost to the void. This has been repaired. If you have not heard from me and want to be on the list, or if you think your request might have been lost. Please feel free to re-submit your request by going to my website at http://www.greenwoodpipes.com and click on the "Interest List" tab.

My thanks to everyone for their time and patience.

God Bless,
David A. Boisvert

Someone had asked for pics... I'm JUST about caught up to the end of the list. 4 out of 6 sets are still pending for sale via the interest list.

Thanks again,
David

Ok, some basic information is going to help out here. Number one, price. Number two, sound samples. I'm going to echo the previous thread on the Lon Dubh here and say that for an untested and unknown whistle, having some supporting details would very much help me decide whether I was, as the list would suggest, interested. I'm not going to buy a whistle just because it looks pretty. Between you and me though, the craftsmanship looks solid. I'm excited to see what these sound like.

I've played EVERYBODY'S whistles. I've had dozens of Greenwood/Boisverts come through the store over the years.

I've got to say, I've never played one of David's tooters that wasn't absolutely over the top fantastic. I hope some day to have the privilege of playing a set of his pipes.

David makes very nice whistles. David has been around here on C&F for quite some time but he had to take some time away from making instruments. So I can see why n00bs might not be familiar with his work. I owned a Greenwood whistle made with purpleheart. It is one of the few whistles of the many I have sold that I wish I had back. It played very well, felt great under the fingers and sounded terrific although not terribly loud. Do a search, you'll find plenty on David's instruments. Unlike the black bird you mentioned, there is no plastic or injection molding involved with these whistles. They are made by the same design and from the same materials as always (well, there were those neat antlers!).

Nice looking whistles David!

If you had omitted this bit in the middle it would have been a good post: "I'm going to echo the previous thread on the Lon Dubh here and say that for an untested and unknown whistle, having some supporting details would very much help me decide whether I was, as the list would suggest, interested. You described his whistles as "untested and unknown" but the second sentence in the OP's post, "As many of you may know, a few years ago I was forced to put a hold on instrument production due to injuries," should have given you enough information to know you might be wrong about that.

A good pun in the CHUCK is ok as long as there is very little RUN OUT.
