Like an Original Clark?

I love the sound from the Original Clark with the wood fipple - it's gentle and breathy and soft. Are there other whistles with a similar sound? Perhaps a higher grade whistle, or is Original Clark the best I can get for this particular soft and breathy (non sharp/piercing) sound? Thank you in advance!

Though I am not a big fan of this sound, I think the Shaw will be very similar and perhaps a little more solidly constructed.

The Shaw is a bit harsher in the tone, yet still breathy. The downside is that it takes a lot of air. A lot. Probably the most of any whistle I've ever played.

I am not a huge fan of the original's sound, I use it mostly for practicing 'cause it's quiet and easy to play.

I do NOT like the diamonds down the front.

Then you need one of Dale's Naked Black Splendor models.

But they are no longer available, AFAIK. So then there is the unpainted Victorian Whistle.
