FS: Early, pre-seriel Copeland brass high D whistle

Post by fluteboy »

Hi All,
I am selling my mid ninties Copeland high D whistle. I bought this whistle from a friend back around '98 I believe. I don't know the exact year he bought it, but it was before Michael's medical issues that left him unable to work for several years, so quite early. Simply the best high D Copeland I have ever played. However, I don't really consider myself to be much of a whistle player, and I never play this instrument, which is a shame. It should be in the hands (and mouth) of someone who really loves it. Plus, I really need money right now, so I am cleaning house of all the non-essential instruments I own. This whistle brand new was $300, and with the vintage pedigree and the rarity of Copeland's these days, I am asking $450 + shipping/insurance. I will consider other offers (but not trades please, as money is what I need at the moment). I have a video up on youtube, just very quickly done to give you an idea of the whistle sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUrqAtDZMfA
PM me or email zacleger@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Cheers,
Zac

Second tune sounds like The Hidden Note.

Dr. Mierzwiak: Well, technically speaking, the procedure is brain damage.

From the youtube comments:

The tunes are "With Ourselves" by Johnny Harling and "The Hidden Note" by Diarmaid Moynahan.
