At the Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann convention weekend before last, Joanie was kind enough to put down a set of soundclips for all my whistles. I've provided the "dry" version and a version with a little reverb added:

It's interesting to listen to the natural reverb in these compared to the reverb I've added to the Joanie Madden soundclips. The clips below were recorded in a church sanctuary with no studio reverb effect added:

After Lunasa's (wonderful!) Somerville, MA concert Saturday night, I had the pleasure of sitting with Sean Smyth as he tried out a selection of my whistles.
I had already done the same with Kevin Crawford and Cillian Vallely when they performed awhile back in Connecticut, and Kevin has been playing Freeman tweaked Generations in performance ever since. (Needless to say, I was thrilled to see Kevin come out and start the Somerville Lunasa show on one of my whistles!)
Sean commented that he liked the tweaked Generations, and he especially liked the Mellow Dog (as did Joanie, btw.) I got Kevin to try a Mellow Dog and a C Blackbird, which he took and said he'd start playing in performance.
A few days later, he posted this on Lunasa's Facebook page:

Your very welcome Jerry,
played the new 'D' last night and will work in the new 'C' whistle over the next few gigs.
Sean is thrilled wit his whistles too and heard playing them in hid hotel room at 9am which is very unusual for him.
Keep in touch.
Kev.
Best wishes,
Jerry
