Sorry - meant to post this on the "Youtube" recordings list. I've always liked this unusual reel - this was my attempt at it on whistle at a concert in Aberdeen in 2001. My thanks to Ron Pirrie for guitar accompaniment - we don't often get the chance to play together these days, being at opposite ends of Scotland.
If a moderator can shift it, that'd be fine. Thanks.

Lovely tune, I'm working it up on the piccolo just now.
Thanks for posting, Kenny.

Tell us something.: Whistling for 8 years after 40 year break from oboe, not enough puff for that anymore. Play gigs, sessions and for own amusement, though not cat's.

Interesting little film about low whistle history and production with some familiar contributors. Don't think it's been posted before but apologies if I'm wrong!

Thank you for all of the youtube links. I'm an absolute beginner, [as in driving the dogs crazy after buying a whistle on Friday!] and really appreciate the inspiration.

Thank you, Kenny. That was delightful. Now, you've got me wanting to learn the flute, too...best stick to the whistle for now, eh? :-)
