I've been inspired by the Uilleann forum and I think there should be a sticky post where people can show off their armadas of fippled fury! Here's mine:Image

From left to right we have:

Thin Weasel A in rosewood
Bernard Overton Low D
GFM Mezzo G and a Soprano D body
Susato Bb with black electrical tape around the base of the head to repair a crack.
Oak C tube with Hoover Whitecap
Mel Bay whistle...looks like it could be a Generation product but with poorer tuning.
Waltons Guinness
2 Coopermans(I guess..they're unlabeled)
Generation D tube with Feadog head
Feadog D tube with self tweaked Gen red head
James Galway whistle(also presumeably made by Generation)
Waltons Little Black(w/o the sticker)
Some crappy $3 whistle I bought in a knick knack shop
Calura C whistle(also crappy..but cute!)
Gen D tube
Walton's Mellow D tube(to use with Hoover whitecap)
Generation nickel F
Eb
G
Parkhurst D in copper(older model)
Unknown C whistle( look for the "can you ID me post")
C.H.Mathieu Paris D whistle in Pewter(19th Century)
Sweetheart D in blackwood(older model)
Sweetheart D piccolo in rosewood

From the top:
Aulos Recorder(a relic from grade school that never gets played)
APM&Co Piccolo in C
Sweetheart Bb Cloos model fife
Cooperman Bb fife
Walsh 2Drone Shuttlepipes in A

Not appearing in this film:
SZBE D in brass...awaiting arrival
German 8 key flute in ebony...currently undergoing restoration by Jon C.

Not the collection...but the sleeping collector: Image

Bumping because I love looking at piles of whistles.

I probably won't post mine because I don't have anything spectacular in it (Although my WhoA kicked in again today and I bought myself a Generation G in nickel, brining my total to five whistles).

RE: the ink-- That's some nice clean line work, not my choice of subject matter but very well done.

My tattoo artist will appreciate the comment. I'm getting some more work done on it in 2 weeks. When I finally get it finished I'm going to start on a Celtic music piece with a tin whistle as the main image!

I should edit this. My pile is smaller now that I've gotten rid of the whistles I don't play. I'm surprised nobody else wants to share their piles! You should see how many pictures have been posted over on the uilleann pipes forum.

From top to bottom:

Dizi in C# by Marwan Hassan
Tipple Bnat flute in gray PVC with deco foil rings
Chieftain Old Style low D whistle (I guess it's 7-8 years old)
D flute, plumwood, brass and articifial ivory, made by me
Maurice Reviol D flute, muirapiranga and silver
Phil Bleazey high D whistle in blackwood and silver
various whistles, the Bb Gen and C/D Sweetones are tweaked by me.
The bamboo whistle plays just between Bb and A and has a very quiet and mellow tone. Good for practise. Also tweaked by me.

I almost exclusively use the Bleazey whistle and the Reviol flute in session. I also use the tweaked Sweetones and the Bb Gen quite alot. The other whistles are seldom played. But it's nice to have them.

Forgive the n00bish question, but is the tape to repair cracks or is there another use?

Yeah i think in that photo the two howards are were just about to start cracking so i taped them up just for a little more protection, should really replace the heads but thay are the older model and i rarely play them anymore so i couldn't bother at the moment. all the woods are taped because of cracks and the white non tuneable susato is also cracked.

That's a Calura C. It's vintage and sounds horrible! I sold it off with a lot of my unplayed whistles.
