Can you provide a case number for that case? I might have a use for one...ThnxSteamwalker wrote:Repost due to broken links in my previous post.
My Dion is on the left, my 3 Busmans on the right. Gorgeous work, Paul! Plus, I got an opportunity to finally break out the Pelican case.
Cocobolo, Asian Striped Ebony, Tasmanian Rose Myrtle and Black & White Ebony. All are D's except for Striped Ebony one which is a C.

Thanks Andreas, I thought the image path would work directly embedded in the thread but it only worked for me because I already had in the browser's cache.German Whistler wrote:cant see the image
I added a link to the image in the post and also here:

I'll be on the road for quite some time, maybe through the spring and summer, but I'll have a few whistles and a Low D with me.
See you on my return, hopefully closer to be a player.
My tune's thread, just in case.

Re: Photos of your collection!
I feel so much better now after seeing some of these photos... My friends think I'm weird for having 4 flutes, and 3 penny whistles.... By the looks of these photos, my collection is miniscule at best.... I want MORE

- Tell us something.: I've been playing whistles since 2010. I love how varied whistles are in their design, construction, tone, and handling. Though I've largely settled on what I enjoy playing, I'm still a sucker for an interesting new design.

- Tell us something.: I like whistles, flutes, lyres, cittern/mandolin/bouzouki family instruments, as well as heavy and nasty slap bass. Languages, linguistics, history (especially Migration Period and Bronze Age Europe), cuisine from various parts of Latin America, chili growing, bushcraft, and the works of JRR Tolkien also tickle my fancy.

Sorry for the crappy quality of the photo, I took this with my cellular phone. This picture doesn't really show the beauty of these whistles as well as I'd like. Especially the MK's and Burkes, which I think are two very fine looking (and playing!) types of whistles.
Okay, this is not my whole collection, but these are just my current favourites of the ones I own.

Burke low E
MK low F
Burke Low G
Burke A
Sindt Bb (My overall favourite whistle)

Re: Photos of your collection!
Hi folks,
just joined the board and would like to say hello to everybody!
Since I didn't see an introduction thread, I chose this one.
My name's Dee (nickname, I'm from Germany) and I'm an experienced, long time guitar player and finally decided to follow my wish to learn another instrument.
My choice fell on irish whistles 'cause I like Irish and scottish folk music every now and then and the Star Trek theme "Inner Light" is one of my favorite whistle songs as well. I like ballads/folk songs like that one played on flute and whistle.
I'm a pure beginner and just ordered a bunch of whistles which, after some thorough research, I might like tonewise. I also included two rather expensive wooden ones which are considered of being of high quality and I like wood anyway. That way i can't blame my fails on the instrument, ha ha ha. Since I own pretty high quality guitars, a flute for around 175 to 199 Euros is still acceptable for me and I dared to order both.
I know that most people say that cheap whistles can be as good, so I ordered some of those as well to find my own opinion.
I still think of getting myself a TWZ XL1 Hi D, because I really liked the sound sample, I don't like plastic mouthpieces which look like halved plastic pens to me and I certainly prefer a less airy sound, I want it clean with the least wind/breath noises possible. I think that's what the XL1 can do.
Anyhow, I'm looking forward to hopefully improve on these beautyful instruments and I'm looking forward to read much more information here on the board. I've been "stalking" you guys 'n' gals for a while now.
Since this is a picture thread, here's my photoshopped pic of my whistles. Only the Clarke has arrived yet, the others should reach my home next week:
