Waltons makes a wide variety of whistles, the Green is the one that we see most commonly. I've seen a few yellow and blue tops in small music shops and festivals. I think their "Scottish whistle" had a blue head?

Maybe that's all you need. :) My Walton's regular brass D is probably my favorite cheapy whistle I own so far.

By request, and after extensive polling and research by our ChiffCo crack marketing team*, we're reviving this thread for further contributions and making it sticky-wicky, too. Take that, fluters and pipers! Enjoy.

(* We assume this doesn't mean that they're marketing crack, but sometimes we're not sure.)

Since I requested it, I suppose I should post a pic of my collection. :-)

Left to right:
Walton's Mellow D
Walton's Little Black D
Susato small bore D
Serpent Sweet Polly D
Hoover narrow bore brass D
Clarke Sweetone D
Clarke Original D
Clarke Original C
Clarke Sweetone C

Quena made by Erik the Flutemaker
Yamaha fife in C
Shakuhachi made by Erik the Flutemaker (incidentally, I enjoy a traditional shaku to this modified, and I had no problems playing a traditional on first try.)
Chinese Dizi in D, did not want to cooperate for this picture so it is holes side down. :/
Doug Tipple Flute D
Windwood Flute in D
Jupiter Concert flute (Still love this thing, just needs some polishing.)
Copley & Boegli Blackwood keyless flute in D

My Busman was omitted due to me posting it for sale.

I just recently took up the whistle. Here is my beginner collection. Two Feadogs, one in brass and one in nickel and a resin Smart tinwhistle. In my newbish opinion the Smart tinwhistle is really responsive and has a good solid sound.

This is my beginner's collection. I started playing a few months ago. This will be updated soon! I'm very excited about a custom Casey Burns folk flute I ordered which should be here at the end of the month.

From left to right:
Clarke D Celtic tin whistle
Clarke D Sweetone (Jerry Freeman tweaked version) - my favorite inexpensive D whistle so far
Oak whistle in D - this was my first one, I don't like it too much
Clarke C pennywhistle - I don't play this one too much, something about the mouthpiece gives me trouble
Susato Kildare B whistle - unusual key but I like it
Generation Bb whistle
