I think I have seen one of these posted here in the past. It's small-ish, in E and marked 'foreign', for the British market I suppose.

Yep. One of the many Japanese or German made whistles. Many seem to be post-war.Mr.Gumby wrote:I think I have seen one of these posted here in the past. It's small-ish, in E and marked 'foreign', for the British market I suppose.
A lot like the yellow whistle in the second picture. Also in E.

Yes, it's a Dixon brass "Trad" in C. It actually needs too much air pushing for little ol' me.. I'll likely wind up selling it.puipui wrote: What is the whistle at the right end of photo? Is it also Dixon?

Re: Photos of your collection!
I have a modest collection of
SYN whistles
Bb
C
D
Eb
Susato V
C
D
Eb
Aulos Recorders
Sopranino-tenor
Moek Bass and Sub-Basse
Three or Four french horns (What I play professionally, and its a pipe...)
Set of Gibson fireside pipes in D
McCallum AB4DFA Highland set
ALWAYS NEED MORE PIPES... I might start building soon. I built brass instruments for years, and now I sharpen cutlery. I might start producing semi-precious metal tubes for unique sonorities. Sterling and Gold plated nickel rods and such.

And here is my only whistle. Pathetic I know. And technically its a toy, made by Schylling. I need a decent one but I seriously lack funds and its a minefield out there!
