Oh, I don't know. Late-night relaxation, fat-chewing, keeping the cold out, setting the world to rights, maintaining the Scottish economy, ......there are a multitude of reasons for those who need none.

Sometimes you want to learn a tune from a recording, and it's way
too fast for you to keep up with. So, you can use the software to slow
down the recording without changing the pitch. Then you can more
easily figure out the tune by ear, and play along until you can get it
up to speed.
