Hi,

I am relatively new to the world of whistling. I'm am working my way through Bill Och's excellent book and I really like the Scottish tunes. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any books/CDs/sheet music of scottish tunes that would be good for a newbie who can read sheet music? I am aware of "Antiquities of Scottish Music for Flute & Whistle (from Mel Bay)" and I know a bit about it thanks to the description from The Whistle Shop (thanks Thom). If possible I would like a book/CD set so I can see AND hear the music (lets not go down that "see" versus "hear" raod again please). Any help or recomendations would be truly appreciated.

Thank-you,
Gary.

P.S. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank all who contribute to forum - I have learned so much from you all!

I really don't know about printed books, but if there are any particular songs you're seeking, you might be able to find scores at either of these websites. The second is also browsable.

JS's ABC Tune Finder:

Traditional Music Library (UK):
