Pat O'Riordan Concert Whistle on eBay

Post by Booseyflute »

For anyone who's interested, I just put my mint-condition Pat O'Riordan African blackwood high D concert whistle on eBay as item #7321236542.
If you have any questions about the whistle, please send them via eBay, rather than responding here.

Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

I'll bet even Pat thinks this is a ridiculous amount to pay for a used whistle.

I just wanted to take this time to say "I told you so" to all the folks who kept telling me different when I said these whistles often sell for $600-700 on ebay ;)

I spoke to Pat a few months ago. I can't remember exactly what about (a low D I believe), but the subject of an auction involving a C/D Traveler set came up. He told me "You are not going to pay THAT much for those whistles, are you?" At the time the bids were about $500 and climbed to $610 before it all ended.

I think Pat believes those who would pay that much for his work are NUTS!!!
