Enya's C.D., "A Day WIthout Rain" and The Corr's album "In Blue" and a C.D. holder. I love both of the C.D.'s! Does anyone else have Enya's? I was listening to the songs on it and I was thinking about how nice a whistle would accompany the songs. Has anyone else tried this? I also love The Corr's C.D. - it's really wizard!

Peace,
Sara

Happy Birthday Sara.

I've now said this twice today...it's my partner's birthday today (21st Feb) and guess what her name is? Yep, Sarah (plus the 'h', I know, but it's invisible when I speak!!)

I first bought Enya's music in the mid 1980's, when I worked in psychiatry in Liverpool, UK (a stressful job in a very stressed City). The relaxing effect in had on me when I played her music in the car was remarkable!

Best wishes,

Steve

Happy Birthday.

You've noted, of course, that Enya's "May It Be" from Lord of the Rings was nominated for an Oscar. Ihave several of her albums, including the score CD from The Celts. Usually, we buy them as they come out.

Hi!
Thanks for the nice notes, guys! I really appreciate it!

Steve,
Thanks! That's too weird that her name is Sarah - I think it's cool that I'm sharing a birthday with someone who has the same name as me who lives in Ireland! Tell her happy birthday for me!

Enya's music is quite relaxing - I haven't listened to all the songs on the album yet, but I love the ones I've heard so far. The songs have a very haunting quality about them.

I haven't heard May It Be - I'm about to look for a clip of it online.

Peace and love,
Sara

Have several of Enya's CDs. I think personally, that Shepherd Moon is still the best one. I even have a music book for several of them and if you play the dreaded and dasterdly "piano"(see other thread) you can play along with this CD if your piano is well tuned. Lots of fun. Have used lots of Enya music when playing for weddings.

cowtime,
I'll have to look for a music book of her songs. I posted on the piano thread. For a minute, I thought you had posted that thread, but I checked and was mistooken (I meant to say mistooken, I know it's mistaken).

Peace and love,
Sara

Happy Birthday Sara!!!
May this note find you in good health & in good spirits. (And seein' that it's your birthday, perhaps with some good spirits!)

I've enjoyed Enya for quite some time and personally agree with cowtime. Shepard Moons is her most awsome CD.

Enjoy your day!

Sara

A couple of weeks ago, Amazon.com was giving the song away as a freebie - of course, that was before the Oscar nomination.

Tell us something.: Good to be home, many changes here, but C&F is still my home! I think about the "old" bunch here and hold you all in the light, I am so lucky to have you all in my life!

Happy Birthday, Sara,

I was given a CD of Enya by someone who didn't like it. I do like the music, but after a while it starts to sound like everything is covered and in slow motion. I think a good dose of pipe organ music by Widor might also be in order, just to balance things out. After all, a pipe organ is a very large collection of whistles of ALL sizes. And Widor's music hits all aspects of emotions. You just might love it. It isn't the stuff played in church. It is very powerful. -JP
