I recently acquired an Overton Low G whistle. I am just starting to learn the low whistle in a key other than D. Does anyone have advise on the best fingering for the C notes on this whistle?

Thanks,
Ailin

Added info - I guess I should clarify that I am looking for C sharp.

Hi Ailin,
If your whistle is pitched in G (high or low) the playing with the top 3 holes covered should produce a C-nat
the G scale is G A B C D E F# G

I hope this is what you meant.

Have you tried half holing? If you half hole the third hole down from the window, that would work...or perhaps a cross-fingering of: XXOXXX ? That may not work the same on all whistles though.

Good Luck.
