Hey Everyone-

I picked up a tunable Ian Lambe low whistle
when I was in Ireland recently. Here's a few observations and a question-
First; the whistle is a very quiet one and
the low D note seems almost inaudible at times, very weak. The srongest point in my
estimation is that it sounds great on the upper register and seems to be good for
hitting some third octave notes. The high
d note ,for instance is easy to hit and very well in tune. Now, Ian told me that he'd do some adjusting if need be. I know that some of you prefer a "quiet" whistle but to me it seems TOO quiet. Is this something that can be corrected by the maker or should I just
accept that this is how this particular instrument is? BTW- Dale has this whistle listed in his blip at costing 100.00 (pounds)
but it has aparrently gone up to 120.00!
I found this out while in Doolin and Ian
went ahead and sold it to me for 100. (nice
guy!)Anyway, any thoughts on this? Thanks.
