Obviously it's not HIS Dans En Dro...but I'm looking for the version he recorded. There are so many "En Dro's" and "An Dro's" out there, I'm having a heck of a time finding an ABC for this tune. Anybody happen to have the ABC in a whistle friendly key?

TIA

Hi Loren,
Larry taught us this at Gaelic Roots two summers ago. I'm really bad at writing out ABCs (or sheet music, for that matter), but here the beginning of it, on a D whistle, so you can work it out from there. Caps represent 1st octave. Lower case represents second octave.

By the way, I have no idea how time value is notated in ABCs, so these are strictly the pitches. I've sort of written it out in phrases. Sorry!

DEBBABCBA F#GAAABAGF#EF#GF# DEBBABCBA F#GAAABAGF#EF#E END OF FIRST PART

DEEF#G EEEF#G AAABAGF#GF#GF# DEEEF#G EEEF#G AAABAGF#EF#E END OF SECOND PART

Loren, I definitely may have taken some liberties with this, but it'll get you moving in the right direction. Maybe I'll try to record it or something. Chris

What Chris,

You don't remember the entire thing EXACTLY?!? Just kidding  Hey thanks a lot. I do have a good bit of it figured out already, but I've still got some gaps to fill in, so this should help. Don't worry about the rhythmic notation, that's easy for me to pick up from the recording.

Thanks again,

Loren
