Here's the website for this unique weekend (August 25-27) in a beautiful little town, North Hero on the Lake Champlain Islands:

http://www.pipersgathering.org

Among the instruments makers who will be attending and selling their work is Jon Swayne. The entry on the website only mentions his bagpipes, but he also makes high-class, high-price wooden whistles in a range of keys and usually brings a few along to sell.

PS if you want to see what a Swayne whistle looks like you can find a couple of pics on the <a href="http://www.rogermillington.com/siamsa/b ... "¨>Brother Steve website. Click "Photo gallery".

If anybody is going this event, stop and say hello to Joe Kennedy. He's from a small town near me-Beachville, Ontario. It's at least 50 miles from the nearest beach. Anyway, Joe is slated to be there showing his uilleann pipes.
