In my last update, I had made a custom whistle for someone in Germany. I decided I liked the look of the whistle so much, I got some additional wood-infused filament that had a nice gradient effect, and made a handful of whistles with it. I really like how they turned out!

These are made with a 'gunmetal' colored PLA for the ferrules, black PLA for the mouthpiece tip, and the gradient wood PLA for the remainder. The tuning slide is stainless steel. Wood PLA is more expensive than regular PLA, so these whistles will run $60.00, whereas the standard non-wood whistles are $50.

(PLA is a bio-plastic usually made from corn starch or sugarcane. It's sustainable, non-petrolum based, and used in such things as medical devices and food service clamshell containers).

You can contact me at greg (at) tinwhistler (dot) com for inquiries. I can produce custom color schemes as well.
