I am not one to follow competitions and all that but I'll post this item anyway. For one this competition was won this year by a fine young whistle (and concertia) player, Éimhear Flannery. But mostly because the link below includes a recording of the competition (on Peadar Ó Riada's radio programme) with some great playing bij fifteen young flute and whistle players that makes for a good listen.
