Tilbury Whistles

Post by stiofan »

ICYMI: Chuck Tilbury is retiring from making whistles. In addition to instruments he's been selling on the UIE, he's offering the domain and tools he's been using for making Tilbury Woodwinds. Might be a good opportunity for an aspiring whistlesmith to get a head start in the craft/biz.

Tell us something.: I'm interested in this forum because it seems to be the place to learn, ask questions, and find whistle brands that I would otherwise not have heard of. So I guess I'm registering so I can take part in discussions regarding styles of play and, in the future, adding whistles to my collection.

I just got my first Tilbury in today and it is easily now one of my new favorites (Bb). I'm happy if he gets to truly retire, but still a bit sad that it is the end of an era for him. I wish him good fortune and sunshine!
