Goldfinch Whistle Comparison Series

I've been working on a massive comparison series with my new Goldfinch set. I've played each key with a lot of other whistles, including Carbony, Reviol, Goldie, McManus, Shearwater, and many others. Overall, I think these are fantastic whistles, regardless of price, with a warm, rich, buttery-smooth tone, but they are spectacular when one factors in their pricing, especially at the alto and low range.

So, if you have some gaps in your keys, or just want a gorgeous low E or F, they are well worth looking into. They currently range from $49 for the high whistles (Eb, D, C), $69 for the medium whistles (Bb, A, G), and $85 to $105 for the low F to low C. My absolute favorite has been the low E, followed by the F, but they have all been very good to excellent.

I've also special ordered an Ab and an F#, since I don't have either key, and they're seeing what they can come up with.
