Does anybody have knowledge of/opinions on options for low C whistles? I have seen the Howard, Nightingale, Karavaev, Chris Wall, Kakapo, etc.

I've not played the ones you list.

I've owned Low Cs by Susato, Reviol, Reyburn, Alba, and Goldie.

They were all good but my favourite has been the Goldie.

There's a Chieftain on Ebay now, not sure if it's a good price, I don't know what a Low C Chieftain would be today.
