I have looked at this post so many times...this is exactly what I am looking for except the offset finger holes...possibly why you haven't sold it...I would have bought this long ago otherwise...another blackwood one showed up here...also with offset finger holes...I could possibly make the finger adjustment but worry about throwing off my fingering....how have you found this concern working out for you?

There's not only the offset, but the fact it's a conical/tapered whistle (like the Copelands), so the profile is different from the typical low D. Less strain on the hand overall, & good tuning, but I don't know if it would be difficult to adjust to. I play an MK Pro, also, but neither have enough time on it & the Copeland to realize if that's a problem yet.

Thank you Kevin! Wasn’t sure if it was tapered or just a conical bore...that puts it out for me, sold my Copeland low D because of the extreme taper....it it tapered as much as a Copeland? I am playing an MK pro now and don’t mind it at all.....I was allergic to my cocobolo Grinter but still want wood...thought mopane would do the trick.

This whistle is still available.

I am sorry for not replying.
I did not receive an email notification regarding your replies...I just found that I had that option deactivated...

Yes, the whistle has offset-holes, small overall holes, conical bore and tapered body.
It is very easy to hold, very ergonomic.

I would say that your hands/fingers would easily adjust automatically to the new pattern.
In the same way your hands/finger adapt without thinking when you are playing different keys on the fly.
It is amazing how your brain and muscle-memory works.

I never tried a Copeland, therefore I do not know how the MM tapered body compares with it.
