Tony Dixon DX005(D) : newer version vs old

Read quite a few reviews of the Tony Dixon (model DX005D) and thought I wanted to have a light blowing (no pressure) & soft practice whistle.
Bought one from Hobglobin-USA and when I received it, it was the one without the lower bras band at the bottom, even though the website displayed the newer version.

From what I understood, the one without the lower brass band is an older version.

The updated version has a lower brass band. Is there a difference in the sound quality between the two?

I think Tony Dixon did not update their website.

Here's another review that talked about the updated version:

Santa brought me a D 005 from Hobgoblin as well. It has a brass slide section but is otherwise plastic. It looks the same as the whistle on the Tony Dixon website and in the video. And I really like how it sounds - not too loud, and much easier to play than my Sweetone. It doesn’t need as much air to hit the higher octave, but enough that I can control which octave I’m in.
